Noor Muhammad Noor is a Punjabi poet. He was born on September 13, 1954 AD, in the house of Janab Muhammad Ismain Thind at Killa Rahmat Garh, Malerkotla, District Sangrur. His full name is Noor Muhammad Thind and Noor Muhammad Noor is his pen name. He obtained higher education in M.A. in Punjabi from Punjabi University.
Noor Muhammad Noor is mainly known as a poet, but he has also contributed in literary editing and translation. He edited Pakistani Punjabi Ghazals (Part First and Second), which was published by the Language Department Patiala. In addition to this, he also did the transcription and editing of Abbas Mirza's composition Patase da Punjabi Bait. Noor Muhammad Noor's works are mainly ghazal collections, which hold a unique place in Punjabi literature. Some of his prominent collections are- Yaadan de Akhar, Sochan de Sathar, Piraan de Pathar, Birha de Khakhar, Sadhran di Sath and Vasde Dard Kallakhar etc. In his poetry, the colors, pain and beauty of Punjabi life are present. In his ghazals, emotional depth and the sweetness of Punjabi dialect are clearly visible.
