Teja Singh Sabar was a renowned Punjabi lyricist and stage poet. He was born on March 16, 1907 AD, during the British era in Punjab, in Chak Number Twenty of Jhang Branch, Lyallpur district (now Faisalabad, Pakistan). To earn a living, he took up the trade of watch repairing, but his true inclination remained toward literature and politics. From the early days of his life, he began writing stage poems and songs that were intertwined with the country's freedom struggle and social issues.

Teja Singh Sabar was recognized in poetry gatherings for his distinctive performance style. Rather than speaking in a loud voice, he spoke slowly and deliberately. His poems were delivered in a dramatic manner and were often brimming with satire. His published books include *Parachhawan*, *Yaadgaar*, *Manminder*, *Niri Agg*, and *Raj Karega Chhappian*. In addition, several other books of his have also been published. Teja Singh Sabar was also hailed as the jewel of poetry gatherings, for his songs and poems deeply touched the heart. His poetry features a unique blend of sharp satire, metaphorical tenderness, and lyrical quality.

Teja Singh Sabar's death occurred in 1970 AD at the age of 63. His legacy remains vibrant in Punjabi literature.
